This has been a perfect spring. There hasn’t been a better place for me to hang out than our back patio. Lightning bug evenings and dew drop birdsong mornings and tiny watercolors.

Yesterday was nice. We had a glimpse of snow, I enjoyed laughing and walking with my favorite girl and went on a fun drive to see friends although J might have some other word to describe being stuck in a car with me. Winter lets me be empty and I just feel like my chest is spread open and I am free for a little while.

On Christmas eve morning when I couldn’t go to sleep and a book wasn’t holding my attention and I became bored with everything online and needed to be around other crazies, I discovered the awesomeness of grocery shopping at 3 AM. And then I made fudge. Yum.
