I wasn’t as prepared for the Virginia Beach 1/2 Marathon as I was for the Nashville. Actually I wasn’t prepared AT ALL. The race went through a wonderfully shady neighborhood, which I was very thankful for, then Camp Pendleton, and downtown where Jason found me and cheered me on. The last leg was on the Oceanfront Boardwalk and that was awesome because I had the Atlantic view but it was oh so hot. I’ve learned my lesson about signing up for races during the summer. I’m a fall, winter, spring runner and I’m okay with that.
It’s great being here in Virginia and having the chance to do this run with Jason, Angela, and Matt, and as always it’s so nice visiting with Jason and Angela and their crazy little puppies here in Richmond!
