Good things happen every day. It’s all about attitude, yeah?

Had a wonderful breakfast and good crazy conversation with the artist who made our wedding rings at her awesome house that was once a one room school. I also went to visit her studio with J, and she gave me tons of delicious fruity teas to brew up. To top it all off we then went to a picnic and pool party.
Left for Milwaukee to learn the art of passing on corporate enthusiasm. The first night I went against all that is fun and holy in a new city and ordered room service and watched cartoon network because I had a corporate headache. Tuesday went to Rock Bottom Brewery. Wednesday I flew home. Why must flights connecting to Detroit always be late and a godzillion miles away from your departure gate? All ended well when my favorite Liz and J picked me up from the airport and took me out.

Went to hear Little Sara’s Orchestra with some handsome young men (the handsomest being J) and was given the most rocking photo to ever grace my living room.
Celebrated the sweet and talented M’s birthday with a Donkey Konga and ice cream cake party. I was so confused when I played DK.
Got to hang out with my two favorite Virginians this weekend.
Saw Matt and Amy’s newly renovated house and ate the most delicious gumbo and was given the gift of a Holga. I’m very excited about getting the chance to annoy everyone this weekend by shoving it up their noses.
We’ve got Band of Horses, The Silver Jews, and Andrew Bird on the radio. Tonight I’m reading the latest edition of Harper’s and Mirror Mirror.

First off, let me say rockin’ self-portrait there. Second, thanks for referring to me as a handsome young man. Thirdly, I’m glad you like the pic.
Most importantly, I love this blog post. Happy posts are the best.
Tell J to get those waffles ready.

Smile and say hi! Oh! And follow this matrix or it’s off with your head!
Actually, I’m really liking my job. I’m facilitating orientations and scheduling training for all employees minus the supervisors during pre-opening.
